I recently received a digital camera. I realized very quickly, I did not know how to use this piece of technology. The want to use my camera to take pictures, download them to my computer, edit and share with friends and family was the inspiration for my art project.
The pictures on the first page are pictures from my recent trip to Hawaii. Taking the pictures was fun, but I did not know how to edit them on my camera. I decided to do it on my computer instead. I had heard of this program, Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard from a previous project from a classmate. Plugging my adapter from my camera into my computer automatically popped up the below screen. All I had to do was choose the Wizard program, select the pictures I wanted to download and save to my computer. Once I saved these pictures to my computer, I was then able to edit the pictures.
After selecting a picture, I then right clicked on the open photo and chose edit. I decided to use the Paint program because I have heard this is a great program for editing pictures. Paint
The below screenshot shows the paint program. I wanted to cut other people out of the photo, so I was the focal point. Putting the arrow in the far, bottom right hand corner, I was able to shrink the picture and cut people out. I could also flip the picture and completely edit things out.
Using the Wizard program as well as the Paint program was extremely easy to use. I will definitely be using this program in the future because it was fun to experiment with it as well as fairly easy to figure out. I have now created pieces of art with digital photography and the use of computer software programs.
