On this page, you will learn how to set up an email account on a Blackberry Pearl with Verizon. To get started, all you will need is your handheld smartphone.
•To begin, you will go to your desktop browser and type in the address for Blackberry Web Cliet: http://www.blackberry.com/go/vzw.
•Click on create a New Account, and the account Set Up Page will appear.
•You will then have to agree to the legal terms and conditions. After you click on I Agree, the account set up page will appear.
•User ID: Type the login you would like for your account. This will also be the first part of your email address.
•Friendly Name: This is the name you would like to appear in the from space when you are sending emails from your Blackberry. If you do not choose a name, your email address will automatically appear.
•Password: Passwords need to be within 4-16 characters, case sensitive and no accented characters.
•You will have to re-enter your password.
•You will then be asked to enter a secret question. This is in case you forget your password. Once you select your question and fill in the answer, submit.
•The Account Set Up Complete screen will appear and you will click on done. The email accounts screen will the appear with some other options:
•Add other email accounts. If you wish to add another email account and receive those to your Blackberry, you will be asked to enter the email address and password. You will then click on Next.
